Local Heroes Honored at Tracy Hills Ribbon Cutting

Tracy Hills proudly grand opened its Welcome Center/Residents Club at the recent ribbon-cutting and street dedication event. Guests had the opportunity to view the new resort-style clubhouse with a large, refreshing pool, convenient multi-purpose room, outdoor recreation area and spacious lawn area.

The festivities also included a street dedication.  A heartfelt tribute and words from local project manager Mike Souza of Integral Communities who was on hand to unveil street signs named in memory of three beloved local heroes and Tracy residents: Criseldo Mina, Fire Captain Daniel Havicus and Marine Lance Cpl. Lenin Priego Zurita.

  • Criseldo Mina was a longtime Tracy resident and Senior Civil Engineer with the Development & Engineering Department for the city of Tracy.
  • Fire Captain Daniel Havicus, a 17-year veteran with the Tracy Fire Department.
  • And decorated Marine Lance Cpl. Lenin Priego Zurita.

Tracy Fire Department officials came out in full force to the dedication, along with the families of the honorees, Tracy Chamber representatives and many local residents.

Among those on hand to acknowledge the honor were Fire Chief Randy Bradley who accepted the sign on behalf of Captain Daniel Havicus; Criseldo Mina’s wife; and Lance Corporal Lenin Priego Zurita’s sign was accepted by his mother and brother.

Of course, we loved being there because we had the chance to show off this new and pretty incredible master-planned community of Tracy Hills.

But we love honoring our local heroes even more. And what better way to do that than by keeping their names and memories alive on the streets we drive every day.

Thank you to all who joined us for this momentous day. And when you have a chance, swing by to say hello. Our Welcome Center/Residents Club is located at 2230 Criseldo Mina Ave., in Tracy, Ca.
