The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts is celebrating its 20th anniversary with GRANDfest, a free outdoor concert and community celebration taking place along Central Ave. between 7th and 10th Sts.
Included in the evening’s lineup is Youth Battle of the Bands winner Karrot, local favorites Young Guns, Prince tribute band The Purple Ones and a headlining performance by A Flock of Seagulls. Local food trucks will also be on hand, so bring a lawn chair or blanket, grab something delicious and settle in for an evening of music right in the heart of Downtown Tracy.

Floating Pumpkin PatchOctober 10 | 12:30 – 5 PM | Joe Wilson Pool
Why walk through a pumpkin patch when you can swim through one?
The City of Tracy’s Floating Pumpkin Patch puts an aquatic spin on a favorite fall tradition. Head to Joe Wilson Pool, where participants can hunt for a pumpkin in the water, then keep the fun going with pumpkin decorating and other activities.
Two pumpkin dives are scheduled during the afternoon, followed by open swim from 3:15 to 5 PM. Admission is $6, with children ages 2 and younger admitted free. Pre-registration is encouraged, as on-site registration will only be available if space remains.

Halloween EveOctober 17 | 2 – 5 PM | Tracy Municipal Airport
Costumes, candy and airplanes? That sounds like a pretty great way to kick off Halloween festivities.
Halloween Eve at Tracy Municipal Airport brings families together for a free afternoon filled with seasonal fun. Dress up yourself and the kids in your Halloween best and make your way through the Candy Crawl, stop by the photo station, play family games and check out food vendors while spending the afternoon at the airport.

Tracy PD Trunk or TreatOctober 31 | 5 – 8 PM | Raley’s, 2550 S. Tracy Blvd.
Save some room in those candy buckets! The Tracy Police Department’s annual Trunk or Treat is back for Halloween night.
Families are invited to dress up in their favorite costumes and enjoy an evening of free candy and Halloween fun alongside members of the Tracy Police Department. The event is free and open to the community, offering another family-friendly way to celebrate the spookiest night of the year.

This just in—Corral Hollow Elementary School has officially opened its doors to a world of learning and discovery near our new homes for sale in Tracy, CA! For the kids of Tracy Hills, a brighter future starts at this decked-out K-8 learning facility. And with a grand opening that welcomed 1,500 visitors, it’s safe to say this brand new school has generated quite a buzz.
“It’s just really exciting to get to lay the foundation for what’s to come, and we anticipate greatness,” Principal Heather Copeland said.
Beyond a board of education-approved educational program, this campus’ cutting-edge facilities are the talk of the town. Bright, spacious classrooms and collaborative learning environments like a state-of-the-art library and media center feature shelves of books, Wi-Fi access, smart projectors and a district-issued Chromebook for each student, offering young minds a variety of ways to learn at their pace. A decked-out science lab offers next-level equipment for hands-on learning in a safe environment.
In the library and several of the classrooms, Superintendent Jim Bridges points out how high ceilings and windows fill spaces with natural light and offer views of Tracy’s rolling hills.
