We’ve curated a variety of fun and exciting activities that are perfect for families with children of all ages. From outdoor adventures to educational experiences, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy! Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures, sports, cultural experiences or just a fun day out with the kids, here are five options to explore.
Tracy Sports Complex
Ready to play ball? At the Tracy Sports Complex, come join a team or watch local teams play (both local and regional sports leagues) baseball in one of the many sports fields in the complex. The complex has baseball diamonds enclosed by high fences as well as several multipurpose fields.
West Valley Bowl
Who doesn’t love a good game of bowling with some friendly competition among friends and family? West Valley Bowl features a whopping 32 lanes as well as open and league bowling. Want a bigger gathering, say, for a kid’s birthday party? They also offer party hosting options. For the little ones, there are optional bumpers—and for those who just don’t like to bowl, they can enjoy arcade games and a round of pool at the numerous pool tables.
Video games are more popular than ever! Tilt features a variety of vintage (we’re looking at you, Pac-Man and Frogger) and more recent (and more realistic looking) video games. The facility also has redemption games (think old-school carnival games) with prizes, air hockey and water gun games. Whatever your game or skill, you’ll find it here!
Tracy Historical Museum
Tracy’s history follows much of California’s. First inhabited by the Indigenous Peoples of the San Joaquin Valley, Tracy was part of Spanish and Mexican haciendas in the early 1800s, then later in the century was used as a site for railroad land grants. Relive that history and visit Tracy Historical Museum. Experience some of the people, places and events that are part of our rich history and that of the northern San Joaquin Valley region of California.
Great Wolf Lodge
We don’t like to throw the word “epic” around, but we can all agree that the Great Wolf Lodge San Francisco/Manteca is pretty epic indeed. Come splash, swim and slide with the whole family, then dry off and head into the adventure park to delight in dry-land attractions, such as bowling, arcade games, mini golf and the immersive MagiQuest adventure game.
Tracy Hills is located near most of these family-friendly places. Go out and enjoy the day with the family, then come home and continue to explore and enjoy family time—from the Resident’s Club to the pool to the trails. Finish off your day relaxing in your home surrounded by all the amenities a Tracy Hills home offers!

Fall at Tracy Hills is a special time. To celebrate the season, the community gathered for a day of fun at our Tracy Hills Fall Fest in early October.
Residents of every age enjoyed quality time with neighbors and all kinds of autumn favorites, from pumpkin painting to classic games such as sack races and egg toss, to the very popular donut bar that offered delicious eats for the whole family.
Our Welcome Center, with its beautiful wide-open green spaces and big blue skies, was the perfect location for our fall event. Residents took advantage of the weather and spent the day outside, whether that was eating their favorite kind of treat, taking pics for their Instagram or just hanging out with friends.
If you missed our fall event, keep your eyes peeled on social media—we’re planning some festive events, including our annual Winter Event on December 1 and the Residents’ Holiday Home-Decorating Contest (get your lights and imaginations ready!).

One of the many benefits of living at Tracy Hills is its proximity to thriving, bustling downtown Tracy, where residents can enjoy entertainment, shopping and dining.
Driving the revitalization of downtown Tracy is the Tracy City Center Association. Through partnerships, sponsorships and fun events, this organization boosts the economic well-being of the city’s residents, employees, businesses and property owners—and creates a buzz about all there is to do in downtown Tracy.
That’s why Tracy Hills is delighted to be the main sponsor of numerous fun events the organization produces throughout the year in downtown Tracy. In September, we sponsored the Wine Stroll, which was voted one of Tracy’s best events. Participants enjoyed the lively atmosphere of downtown Tracy as well as wine samples, food and great music, and were given free swag bags that we provided.
In celebration of Halloween, we sponsored the Candy Crawl, which brought over 4,500 community members to downtown Tracy—including 2,500 kids (in some amazing costumes!) that enjoyed free candy handed out by merchants.
Many of our residents have commented on how much fun they have when they visit downtown Tracy, and we couldn’t be happier to support Tracy City Center Association and its revitalization of downtown Tracy.

That means construction has started on an investment in your kids’ futures and the newest addition to the Jefferson School District—the first school built in Tracy since 2008.
Convenience is king at Tracy Hills—this open-air campus’ central location is proof of that. Situated on-site and within easy reach of the Welcome Center, Corral Hollow Elementary School will offer your young ones a chance to learn, wonder, discover and grow in modern surroundings, from kindergarten through eighth grade. The school site will also have plenty of room to host evening events, potential daycare options as well as pre-school opportunities—that’s fun for your little ones and peace of mind for you, parents!
Speaking of peace of mind, rest assured that your kids will have access to an upsized educational experience—that means a state-of-the-art library with a number of digital resources and a massive collection of books for those who prefer their learning with a touch of nostalgia. As the hub of the school, the library will include a learning lab to facilitate growth and encourage students to engage, explore and discover.
And the benefits of the Tracy Hills lifestyle just keep coming. Students of Corral Hollow Elementary School will also enjoy a range of opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom, from the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program to statewide academic and sports competitions plus so much more.
It’s always an exciting time to be at Tracy Hills. Now, it’s the smarter choice too. Keep your eyes on the construction site—the new school is anticipated to open in 2024.

In 2020, Babita and Nitin were ready – more than ready – to move out of their one-bedroom apartment and into a brand new, upsized life.
“When we visited the model houses at Tracy Hills, we found them [filled] with advanced security features and equipment, spacious rooms and nice big yards, amenities and parks for the kids.”
The home they discovered in the Amber neighborhood checked every box for their family of four and before they knew it, they’d really upgraded their lifestyle.
Their four-bedroom home lets everyone stretch and spread out.
“[The move] was a huge change for us. The feeling of calling this our house is incredible and beautiful. We decorated and set it up the way we wanted, and it feels very cozy,” says Babita.
As they’ve settled in, the perks of living in Tracy have really solidified their love for the community. Getting to their office in Pleasanton via the nearby 580 freeway is a breeze – an effortless commute in the busy Bay Area? Nearly unheard of! The family also loves visiting tons of local haunts, including some of the town’s best Mexican and Indian restaurants. In other words, all the deliciousness they could ask for, right at their fingertips.
With their friendly neighbors quickly becoming their newfound BFFs, event planning has come naturally.
“We often catch up with our neighbors, friends and organize potlucks, baby showers and birthday parties together. We paint, bake cakes and make popsicles, too.”
Babita adds that the big driveway and ample parking spaces are a huge plus for all her invited guests. There’s never a traffic issue!
The kids, Rey and Nysha, are big fans of the big backyard.
“It gives us extra private space for playing, painting and large gathering set-ups.”
The kids spend oodles of free time kicking around the soccer ball and hosting their neighborhood pals.
When the group gets a little restless, they’re able to take strolls around the community, visiting the pool and The Market.
“We’ll easily pick up some drinks and food,” says Babita.
At Tracy Hills, they’ve been able to get the most out of this chapter – they have upsized their space, their free time, their amenities and their lives.
